I'm not going to read all of those yet, because if I do I'll start crying, and I don't want people at work to think I'm even crazier than I am.

I know it's all been said, but damn...it is the end of an era, no doubt.

Thanks for the memories, the laughs, the tears, the cussin', Sock Watch, Boo Watch, Paparazzi Bingo, Stalker Alert, Anneka's movie reviews...there aren't words in the English language to express to you how much joy you've given me.

I love you girls. Best of luck in everything you set out to accomplish.

I am sad that this is the last post, but then all good things come to an end. I think now is the right time to move on and perhaps others should follow your lead (hint hint).

Thank you, bpb and PG, for everything!! I know I've already said all there is to say, but.. You guys are the best! JW has meant so much to me, and it will always have a very special place in my heart.

And thank you for the great "guide to Jake Watch". What a wonderful trip down memory lane. I'll miss you guys, and everyone here, terribly!

Good luck in the future! You are amazing!

how can I survive without Jake Watch?! I spared a good portion of my office time reading this site since I located it one year ago. It has been part of my routine.

Thank you so much for everything, your effort has been very much appreciated. I am not good in putting things in words, but you have my best wishes.

Even though you gave a warning this is still sad, I will miss JW like crazy.

PG & BPG: You and JW and all the readers here were a place where I could come and laugh, and feel good about being a Jake fan.

Thanks for all the laughs, Sock Watch, the movie reviews your incredible posts, EVERYTHING!!!

You will stop updating JW at a time when it is needed BADLY, but I understand that you need to move on. You 2 are talented and I look forward to your next blog adventures. I'm glad that the archives will be still accessable and the forum and the MySpaces will still be around.

Good luck and best wishes to you both.

Goodbye, ProphecyGirl and BritPopBaby. Thank you for all the work you put into this blog. And thanks for helping me laugh at myself & my inexplicable interest in & pleasure at following the activities of that curious half-gorgeous, half-freakish-looking person known as Jake Gyllenhaal. I appreciate the compendium here. I hope you both find equally -- no, even better -- good uses for your many talents. Know that you made at least one complete stranger much happier over her office laptop on some very grim, far too corporate days.

Anonymous said...

I agree with the need to move on sentiment. I wasn't even coming here for Jake anymore, just BPB and PG's writings. It's been a lot of fun, thanks for the laughs and good luck in whatever you choose to do next. =)

Well here's to bigger and better things for BP & PG!

OO-RAH!

Thanks for the memories!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :-( No matter how many warnings you gave us, they still couldn't prepare me for this. Please keep us updated on your future endeavors! Much love to PG and BPB!

I have had...not the best month. Okay, truthfully, not the best six months. I am getting things under control, I hope, and am glad I checked in tonight to comment on this historic post in the timely manner it deserves. So many invaluable, bizarrely creative and bitingly apt moments have been captured here, that were my true introduction to a unique and extremely diverse fandom. I would not have the healthy perspective I do (and I do, I swear it) if it weren't for the influence of Jake Watch just when I most needed it.

I thank you both again for everything, and am thrilled that you've posted a digest that can act as a guide for those who were not fortunate enough to find Jake Watch while it was still active, as well as those like me who will undoubtedly revisit every brilliant post with that melancholy fondness that family photo albums bring. As a wise woman (or two?) once said, this is my home now, and a part of it will always be with me.

Anonymous said...

I'm too sad to even respond to this post.

BP and PG - you are going to be missed so much, not JW per se, but YOU GUYS! Your humor and take on all things Jake have brightened many a bad day.

Please keep us in the loop on your next adventures - you're both too talented to just disappear.

Wow. We all knew it was coming, but man, that hurts. I dont really know what to say, there are no words to describe the feelings right now. *sigh*

I guess i mainly just want to thank BPB and PG for your time and effort, your humour and your wit. It really has lightened up my life, and put a smile on my face everysingle day. I thankyou so much for that, its one of the best gifts you can ever give.

Thanks to everyone else... JW for me wouldnt be the same JW without the comments. I mean the posts were hallarious, but you guys put the icing on the cake. And within those comments i feel like ive made friends that will last a lifetime.

I really am a bit lost, im not sure what im going to do, i cant wait for whatever comes next. Im glad im getting drunk tonight, im really going to need it. I think the *its okay* post is going to come in handy, more ways than one.

Thankyou all again, you will be missed

Jake is the most blessed celebrity in existence to have you guys in his corner (too bad he doesn't know it). Thank you for channeling your talent into this most excellent project. I feel better knowing that I will be able to come on over and check out some "Sock Watch" and "Blatant Stalking" whenever I need a quick fix. I hope that both of you keep writing under these screen names. I look forward to your future projects. Thanks for the hours filled with hilarity, you'll be missed.

I didn't even realize how long I've been reading this blog, I've honestly been here since the beginning, I remember reading all of the first posts. Over a year and a half of quality posting on your part I must say. You made news even when there wasn't anything to make news out of and I comend you for it. Ah what wonderful times these have been. The mystery of Boo, pictures in which photographers failed to make a wet Jake look sexy, the mysterious tattoo scandal...I really am going to miss this place, it always gave me something to read for a good laugh whenever I needed it. I really just want to thank you guys again for all of the time and effort you invested into this place and into entertaining us. Good luck in the future and continue on with the stalking, even if you don't post about it, you must always carry on the mission.

Anonymous said...

You know, it'll probably be a few weeks before I stop typing jakewatch into my address bar and finally realize there will be no new posts for me to read. I'm just so used to checking this place. :(

Anonymous said...

But I don't wanna remove you from My Favourites!!!

WWAAHHH!!!!!

Anonymous said...

I think I'll keep Jake Watch bookmarked - even though it will not be updated there's still so much to enjoy.

I know I have only been lurking here, not being a real agent, but still I feel honoured to have been in the know.

Thank you.

Well, I guess our ploy to distract everyone from the end by overwhelming you with history didn't exactly work...

Wow, PG. Britpop. I can't believe it's actually over. As a person who was drawn to the site in the beginning solely because I'm friends with one of the writers (and, like, totally lived with her for 3 years in college!), I'm really going to miss it. Even for those of us who were merely civilians, who thought a certain celeb was nice-looking but never achieved a proper drool response for agent status, it was damn entertaining. Thanks for your hard work, ladies, particularly your appreciation of SATIRE and SARCASM! You will be missed.

Hey guys,

Just got back from an internet free weekend.

sO, Jake Watch passes into legend. Yes future bloggers and posters and lurkers will hear tales of awe and wonder of Ye Olde Jake Watch days. But they won't have been there, and I will.

BritpoP, PG, Anneka, your names will pass into the annals of the internet Hall Of Fame, as will your posts. It was a riot. Love you all.

Wonder how much my Jake Watch T will be worth on ebay now...

(Joking- as if I would.)

Love 'n hugs to you and all my Jake Wtch amigos.
