The Anti-Climax of the Year

Approximately 10 months ago a babe was born in a stable and/or expensive private natal unit. Lo, the fandom of Jake Watch did gather and presented the child with gold, frankincense and panda. Mostly panda. Then one of the wise bloggers was spoken to quite rudely and the other wise blogger expressed regret that the money hadn't been spent on gin and lottery tickets. So it was never mentioned again...until today.

How cool, and on plaque number 1!

Yes I remember this well. It was and is an incredible thing to do. You and PG are class acts all around. Hopefully Maggie, Peter are aware of it, what an lovely thing to do.

Even though I was lurking back then, I still remember the whole thing.

Bravo for taking the high road and what a beautiful and thoughtful gesture.

I can't begin to imagine how it feels to finally see this after what transpired. Please don't consider it an anti-climax! There is now tangible and printed proof on public display of your good intention and beneficence. Can we get some details as to who snapped the photos and when? Did you get to see Ramona's panda? Or any pandas?

Brit,
What you and PG did was sweet and wonderful. Please don't consider it anti-climax! The plaque is beautiful. I hope we get to see a snapshot of the panda.

I guess you had to be here previously to know exactly what happened *scratches head* If you guys donated to the birth of the new panda and put it in Ramona's name then you did a wonderful thing. Hope the Gyllenhaals-Sarsgaards appreciate this - and if they don't - we do xx

8:19PM Ditto! Brits and PG are class acts all around.

David Attenborough took the pictures. He also snapped the panda's but they didn't come out too good so I didn't post them.

Remember Jake Watch brought collectively adopted the Red Panda. It was definitely a group effort.

Papa G was given some info on it at the time so not sure if Maggie & Peter know or not. I shouldn't think we'll ever get a straight answer on that.

^^^ It's entirely possible the card is still somewhere in the Zinc Poetry Bar. It's a very dark place.

Regardless of whether or not the message ever actually got delivered, it gives me a deep sense of pride that (to my knowledge) we are the only Jake Gyllenhaal website responsible for placing Jake's niece's name on a permanent plaque in an obscure English zoo. It's like, even if the internet died, the impact of Jake Watch would still live on. God, we are awesome! I remember wanting it to be a monkey, but they were too expensive.

LMAO, that funny PG. Well done. Jake Watch forever.

Am I going crazy, or did they place the names on each of the plaques so they would look like panda faces? Weird. But great job, Jake Watch community!!

OT: I hope this is a sign that the play is a definate go. Jake was seen hanging out with Mike Nichols on MV who will be directing the play.

PS: Apparently a certain blonde actress has been seen on MV with her kids.

Yes, the Zinc Bar was a very dark place but brightly lit by the happy faces of the JakeWatch agents in attendance ;)
