Yes! He is running so that he is going WITH the flow of traffic. My natural inclination, whether on foot or on my bike, is to ride against traffic...which is illegal in my state. But I do it all the time. I don't like that his exercise regimen is so well know. Or that he's always out there alone! Bad people might bother him. Do we have any agents in the area???
I am not too worried about Jake. I think he has a force of nature surrounding him. Anyone who gets too near him - even in a car - would be struck down by Jake's beauty before they had a choice to strike down Jake. ...for what it's worth.

Pap videos are really creepy. The one of Jake running here is just the sound of Jake running and the constant, uninterrupted clicking of cameras. It made my skin crawl. I agree with IHJ. If they aren't stalking him like that, they are shouting things at him and being obscene. I hate that.
What most people don't realise is that I won the woman's marathon the same year.
I snagged gold in the long jump that Olympics. Jake Watch had a good showing that year.

Oh how can one NOT remember this extraordinary moment in the life of The Gyllenhaal? It was a proud moment for us JW Agents indeed! I remember standing at attention in my living room, singing the Jake Watch theme:
"Isn't it rich... are we a pair... me here at last on the ground... you iiiiiiin mid-air..."
And I do believe I shed a tear or two. Oh sweet memories... *sigh*
Wasn't the movie My Chariot's On Fire In The Hills of Hollywood, based on this never to be forgotten Olympic event? OMG! I didn't realize how far ahead Jake is!!! You're right! There is no one even close to catching him.
SG and Naomi spent a fortune grooming Jacob for that moment. The number of sneakers he went thru absolutely boggles the mind!!! Somewhere out there, buried in a vault, begging to be restored, is the film footage SG shot. The Making Of An Olympic Champion:Running Bravest. But there was too much footage of little Jake sitting with his bleeding, blistered feet in a pan of water, crying, "I hate this! I want to be an actor! I wanna be famous! I want Billy Crystal! I don't want to run. I just want to pretend to run. " so they decided to shelve it.
