MORE LIVE JAKE! MAYBE...
According to forums across the internet, our very own Jake Gyllenhaal will be a guest on "Late Night With Conan O'Brien" on February 27. I will award the Jake Watch Gold Star of Excellency to anyone who can trace this back to a credible source (not that the forums aren't credible, mind you, but a cursory search provided no info as to where this news came from). Jake Watch's Official Take on the Matter is that this is awesome and Jake, if this isn't true, call your agent right now and ask them to book you on "Late Night With Conan O'Brien" for February 27.

Yeah! Hopefully he can manage to squeeze in a few more talk shows during this break.
Maybe it isn't a new live appearance. Maybe Conan is going to do a repeat of his last appearance which was delightful. Of course, this is right around Oscar time, so maybe the film will be on break.
If he's in the U.S. at the time, it would be soooo nice if he could once again be one of the presenters at the Academy Awards. I'm going to watch for his name on their Web site as they announce the presenters. (They are very slow about that this year.)
Somebody posted on IMDB that they will be filming Rendition in Morocco until the end of March and then off to S. Africa for the remainder of filming at the end of June. Tjey said that Jake is there but no sign of Resse as of yet, she probably isn't needed at the moment.
Maybe Jake has contractual obligations to promote Zodiac so there's some kind of break between when he finishes in Morocco and when he has to report to SA for the next phase. I don't think he'll have too much time, tho, bcz when a film is shooting, there's usually a very tight schedule and a budget. That's a hell of a lot of travelling, too. Flying from CA or NYC to SA is a two or three day undertaking in best circumstances. He'd be exhausted. Maybe he's already pre-taped some interviews for E! and those other shows, but you can't do that for Conan, Leno Letterman or Jon Stewart.While I really want to see him, I can understand why we might not get to.
I'm excited, but not as excited as I would have been if he was appearing on a Friday instead of a Tuesday. No way I can stay up that late on a work nite. Sigh. Guess I'll have to tape it, but that's okay. It's Jake!!!

Here is a site that tells you what guests are going to be on all the late nite shows. and according to this JAKE is going to be on 2/27. I'll make sure to watch/tape it.
Since Conan is taped in NY, maybe he will get around to doing Letterman or the Daily show. Fingers crossed!

Jon Stewart and Jake are friends so it wouldn't surprise me if he did do the show. When Maggie was on Jon asked her about Jake and told her to remind him they were supposed to play basketball or something.
Just for the hell of it, I've been checking out five star luxury hotels in Marrakesh, Morocco and whew!!!! They look like they're part of a movie set from the Arabian Nights. Luxury is an understatement!
I'm looking forward to Conan and any other shows he'll be doing while in NYC. Five months is too long of a stretch for him to be away. Welcome back to the USA :)

Some folks here already know it, today news I got married! *now in my head that "Peggy Sue Got Married" tune is stuck relentlessly... Yeah, we could say Jake has a serious "invincible" rival from now on, but I still can say Jakey is cute ;)
