SO WE STILL HAVE NO ZODIAC TRAILER
(And I can't express how much this doesn't count.) But we do get a new production photo roughly every 5 to 7 months to cruelly show us what we're missing and I guess we were due for a new one. Damn that excruciatingly slow pre-release promotional campaign.

I have two very important questions about this film:
#1 - Will he be taking a shower or two in the movie?
#2 - Will he have hot, naked sex in the movie?

He has a girlfriend/wife AND kids in this movie! Apparently there is one scene where he's rocking and hushing his baby to sleep, holding him in his arms. Now isn't that to die for?! His girlfriend is played by Chloe Sevigny.

Well, it wasn't actually Anneka on the banner it was some random agent named 'J' and I had to make room for sexy hooded Jake so she got cut - fair enough I say. We're still tinkering with it.

The more I think about it,the more I can't wait to see this movie!And yes,the main reason might be Jake,but also Robert Downey Jr!I had a crush on him when I was watching Ally McBeal,his character was fabulous.
I'm very curious to see them in the same movie.
I'm only afraid to have too many expectations from this movie,and then to be somehow dissapointed.You know,when you want too many things..you might not be satisfied with just a few.

I do like the "regular guy" vibe that I get from this picture. Jake is indeed extremely attractive here. He looks kindly & earnest, and his stomach is beautifully flat, in a way that it probably would not have been on an actual male in the 70s, which was a time when not very many men worked out diligently -- even actors. The standard of male beauty was very different then.
But I've now become a little fearful that Robert Downey Jr. might steal all of the scenes in which he & Jake appear together. Look at that cigarette, that jaded, newsroom slouch, that battered IBM selectric typewriter -- Downey reeks of authenticity & appears to have disappeared into the character. (I've admired Downey for years, so maybe I'm biased & rooting for him.) I'm afraid: Are the reviews for "Zodiac" going to be like those for "Brokeback Mountain," where the critics were all raving about Heath Ledger, so that Jake's performance was often overlooked? (Even though we all know it was integral to the movie.) I'll be happy if "Zodiac" is a fine ensemble piece, since I just want Jake to appear in another excellent movie. But I'd like to see him, most specifically, get some more recognition.
I'm sure that Jake's character is placed in a lot of tense, nerve-wracking situations during the course of "Zodiac." With others who have posted here, I also feel that he should relax by taking long, steamy showers. He should just be standing there while gallons of hot water cascade soothingly down the length of his beautiful naked body. But somehow I feel that Fincher isn't going to indulge me on this one. I really doubt he's attuned to the beauty of Gyllenhaal as a camera object.

I know it has been corrected, but the shirt issue is crucial. BBM Jack, that siren of sex, wore dark, richly colored shirts--two jean shirts on the mountain and the red reunion number--and that's just the first half of the move. This washed out check is definitely the Ennis look. Just saying in case you're dressing up as a good spirit for Hallowed Eve.

I thought I read somewhere that the pursuit of the Zodiac killer went on for years. Is it possible that this movie doesn't just deal with a brief moment, but spans several years? That could account for the "style" issues. Who cares! Jake looks so heartbreakingly beautiful all the effing time I can't stand it! Love him leaning on the desk. Love him in shower scenes, love him biking, swimming, walking, eating, with or without scruff, long hair, short hair, whatever! There is no one living who is like Jake.He affects me.
I'm pretty positive it spans over several years, I think I read that somewhere (cannot remember where, sorry!). A more reliable evidence for that is the fact that there are different actors playing Robert Graysmith's kids at different ages, check IMDb. :-)

'Tis only an illusion seeing as how I have strong anti-gun views and therefore the one I'm holding shoots only tranquilizers for combatting blatant stalkers and unathorized females. And the target is really on Jake Watch since we are hounded so mercilessly by our many, many enemies. Or it's possible I'm full of shit and that, in pursuit of aesthetic perfection, we never really thought about what that target was, er, targeting. :)

Based on the fact that she is now widely quoted as saying he's a great guy but they are finished and there's no chance they'll get back together, and given that these comments recieved pretty wide coverage and they weren't part of the NOTW pastiche of an interview, but in reaction to the NOTW, I don't think she'll show up with Jake. GAWD! I love him leaning. I can't help but believe he knows EXACTLY what affect he has when he strikes a pose. So damned hot he ought to come with a caution sign around his neck.

1:19PM: Um, today is October 11, you posted that link yesterday, Oct. 10. I clicked on the site and scrolled down to the post dated 10/10, the Kristen post. The post is making fun of an interview she made about going to Art school. The person who posted that for some reason also posted some pics of Kristen DATED 9/22/06!! It's Kristen, some chick and a guy who if i'm not mistaken has been ID'd previously as a Mr. Katz, a production asistant that worked on several of Jake's films and has acted as a sometime PA for both Jake and Kristen.
PS: You need to have your eyeys checked, how do you conclude that he is her "fella" from those pics unless you are reffering to pics that were just posted today and then maybe you can provide a link.
PSS: Kristen isn't seeing anyone at the moment, she is quoted as saying it.
