So excited by his new look, Jake sported both gangsta (Exhibit A) and non-gangsta (Exhibit B) style one-leg pant-roll-up action, causing an uproar in the fashion world. The news spread quickly across New York, and by Wednesday morning, designers in Paris were frantically making last minute adjustments to their fall lines. Mr. Gyllenhaal was also seen donning some sort of sweater-thingy, which he stored casually on his shoulder, hereby definitively banishing the "tied-around-your-waist" look. Gyllenhaal was unavailable for comment, but we here at Jake Watch have no doubt that this was a strategic fashion move on his part, the full ramifications of which have yet to be seen.
Also, there was something about him being in a movie? Or something?

I thought I liked khakis, but now I'm not too sure. He really works the plain vneck tee, but the whole thing goes better with faded jeans.
Shoes: same green ones he's been wearing the past month.
Sweatshirt: casually slung over the shoulder for that relaxed look.
Glasses: Dark aviator feel.
All in all, it works, but Jake can and usually does better.

Probably his jeans are all in the laundry. Maggie couldn't bear it anymore & said something at last: "Jake, I've got news for you. Summer's over, and if I see you in those green cargo shorts ONE MORE TIME I'll go into labor prematurely."
Aren't those white t-shirts available from Hanes from Rite Aid or CVS in three-packs or something? I know he probably wears a far more costly version, bought from some little boutique where they give you a fancy bag & wrap it in scented tissue paper. But it amuses me to think of him piling up those t-shirts. I'll bet he's got a drawer crammed to bursting with them.

ahhh, it would amuse me if he kept them longer than a week... the key to rockin a crisp white T is to wear it only until it needs to be washed then throw it out. the thing with washing them, they lose their cool cred and get bent outta shape..

Missed Tsotsi when it came out, but will notify Netflix immediately. Hope he and Sam are talking projects. Mendes is producing a couple, including Sweeney Tood, directed by Tim Burton and so far..starring Johnny Depp. Johhny Depp devouring Jake?

alright, movie news!! it makes my currently bad day so much better already. i wonder if the final ebay bid would’ve been spiked another thousand bucks had the news broke a day earlier—i mean, la, washington, morocco, south africa as options!? and jake and reese in a movie, i love it already! film sounds interesting—except eerily like syriana (multilayered cia middle east story?). i liked syriana, but i’m sure this’ll excellent in its own way, with tsotsi director helming. I hope jake and reese have a decent amt of scenes together, what with her playing the wife at home part, i think.

My friends in grad school -- a lot of whom were David Foster Wallace groupies -- used to call that "Infinite Book," because the page count was so vast.
He writes really good nonfiction -- I recommend "A Supposedly Fun Thing That I'll Never Do Again."
Maybe Reese's husband dies under torture, and Jake's character then becomes responsible for her & she becomes his romantic interest?

Actually, 11:24 PM, as much as I love seeing pics of Jake and the Gyllenfam, I really hope the paps do not follow Jake or Maggie/Peter/family to Brooklyn. Especially since they are moving to get away from the paps.
That being said, I think the new pics of them all with JLC are great. :)
I think the whole Gyllenhaal family (with the important exception of Peter) out for a walk through the streets of NY is bound to attract attention - I'm sure they must be aware of that. There must be ways to avoid the paps (as we know by Jake's frequent disappearances) but I'm sure this isn't one of them.

I just thought Prophecy Girl would appreciate this. (If she didn't know already.) Anyway, I think Jake and John should be best friends and hang out so I can look at them simultaneously. But my heart belongs first and foremost to Jake, of course.
Katie, yes the whole Gyllenfam out in NYC will bring out paps. I am talking about after the baby is born. Maggie has mentioned in interviews that the paps have been bothersome. So, if they are moving to Brooklyn for after the birth, I hope they have some more privacy. Sure they expect and know about the paps, but when they are around 24/7 I am sure it can get annoying. It sounded like she didn't want to subject the baby to that all the time.
