WELL, I'M JUST GOING TO PRETEND THIS NEVER HAPPENED

Is that a cream cardigan?
I've had to block a lot of things from my mind over the past few years...Charlie on Charlie, 12 Greenfield Street, Mr Rogers' Ugg boots, general reality...let's hope this also gets filed away at the back of my mind in that folder labelled 'Figments of your Wild Imagination'. Thanks brain, I appreciate it.

Is that a cream cardigan?

It looks that way! Even the lady in the background can't look!

Why, Jake? WHY?!

Perhaps this was before he had a stylist (at least for red carpet events), and he was much younger, so I guess we could give him the benefit of the doubt. But still...a cream cardigan?!

the ensemble is hilarious, but man, he still looks so sexy!

The Truth About Charlie was a crappy movie.

And I forgive him for the cream cardigan.

I like the cardigan!
But this PRADA shirt is fashion crime: http://tinyurl.co.uk/1pvx

In that cardigan, Jake looks as if he might go out & putter in the garden for a little while, then return home and -- after changing his dirty wellies for a nice pair of slippers -- have a nice cup of decaffienated coffee with the missus.

Friends don't let friends go out to events where they might be photographed while wearing cream-colored cardigans.

@9:39, I've never seen that picture of Jake before.

All it lacks is a shiny gold medallion dangling from a chain.

My God, has Jake been photoshopped with someone else's head? You know who wears shirts like that? Hugh Jackman, in that Broadway musical, what's it called. A very entertaining show, with a wardrobe to match.

Sadly, though, it might be real. I think I recognize those Gyllenhaalian chest hairs.

I don't think it is Jake's shirt since there is a price tag attached - only 485$!

Hmm.. interesting look.
But I'm sure it was just a blip in an otherwise perfect fashion sense.
And I so agree with TBL!

I think he looks incrediably tired here. His eyes aren't their typical amazing self. Maybe he wasn't fully awake and got dressed without paying attention.

Dear God! My virgin eyes!

Virgin .. yes, I said virgin.

I have to level with y'all .. I'm not saying I'm pro-cream cardigans here, but DANG, he still looks hot!

I think that's creamy vest... actually it looks nice on him, like a handsome bookworm. Jake has his own dorky charm, I guess.

He's too damn adorable in ANY color, including creamy cream!!!

as a huge fan of dorky/nerdy jake whenever he pops up, even i have to admit that britpop is right, the cream cardigan is a tad much haha.

a cardigan on a man is excusable only if you’re going for the sexy older librarian look, ala giles from buffy, but A) jake is too young, and B) not in cream/light beige!

also, i’m usually all about guys who rock the layered geeky but hot look with a button down, sweater, and blazer/suit jacket… and there are a wide range of acceptable sweater types for this look (vest, v-neck, crewneck, wool, cotton, cashmere, etc.) but not a cardigan! that’s taking it too far…

as for the stylist issue, i don’t think jake has a stylist, he’s demonstrated too much crazy character in the way he dresses himself. i’m sure he had designers scrambling to dress him in their tuxes this awards season, but that’s different from having a personal stylist. i may be wrong, but it seems out of character.

There's no way Jake wears the clothes that he does and has a stylist. Even his normal outfits are bland. I love him and a blah wardrobe has no bearing on my opinion of him, but it's true.

Actually, I hope he doesn't get a stylist. It would be too.... Hollywood.

This reminds me of my childhood in Buffalo, NY when every halloween I would work for months to put together the perfect costume, only to have my mother declare that she wouldn't let me leave the house to go trick-or-treating without a sweater. I still have pictures of this fabulous bumblebee outfit I wore when I was 7, it had cute little spaghetti straps, yet underneath I'm wearing a sparkly, flowered, turquoise sweater. So maybe it was cold the night of this premiere, and Jake's mama wouldn't let him leave the house without his cream cardigan.

our jake is a lovely paradox isn't he? he hollywood but not.

sterling, that's such a cute sweater story/scenario

I would rather Jake look dorky any day of the week than have a stylist. He doesn't need that. It'd be too much like every other celeb out there, which he's not. Anyway, once again...as with the spandex and various other fashion "blunders"...I have to say that I think he still looks fantabulous. He's too beautiful to look bad in anything. And I love his dorky style!!

wuuuuuuuuuut?

HAHAHA - you said creamy! Yeah he's so dreamy he makes me creamy! He's like a salad dressing - like Creamy Jake Dressing - low fat!

Much more atrocious than the cardigan!

I'm fairly sure that the offending article of clothing is sleeveless. But dammit, he still looks tasty.

Shocking. Nothing else to add.
