They have gray fur, long narrow snouts, sharp little teeth and bare, snaky, rat-like tails. They are fiendish-looking, but actually rather harmless creatures.
They're also known as opossums but it's trendy if you're from the backwoods to take off the "o." It's OK Jake. There are a lot worse animals to run over. They have really nasty teeth.

Well, it's the possum's fault now, really, isn't it?! I mean who ever heard of a possum trying to cross a busy street in Malibu! The pedestrian traffic is bad enuf! The damned possum should have known his place. I mean even when he's out cycling, Jake weaves and circles to avoid running over random grasshoppers and spiders and field mice. I worry that this will affect him. He's probably filled with guilt and remorse now.
I once saw a TV program about a British old man who ate roadkilled animals. It didn't matter if they were all bloated and full of maggots, and he ate anything - badgers, foxes, birds... I don't think I've ever seen antything as repulsive in my life. And can you believe the man was married?!
My Mum tries to yell at me when I go out with my flip-flops. She says they could get caught in the floor and I might not be able to hit the break. WTF? Has that ever happened to anyone, ever, in the history of time??!!!
i found out that its illegal to drive in flip flops in england? Is that true? thats what they told me when i was there last month... oh my, coming from australia i drive in the ALL the time!!! -i even have a flip flop tan!!! Infact im about to go out and drive in them now!! Shame on me

Oh Joyce, trust me. Flip Flops pose no threat to others on the road. I am an excellent driver.
