Check if you want one blog I have been doing as hobby about Jake, although it's far more amateur than britpopbaby's.

You all can post comments here. Enjoy it!!

Being an 'older' lady myself, I absolutely love the second one!

(Although, I really think they're ALL terrific!)

Ah, amen to the second one. Although in my case, it's 14 years too early! And the first is really good - thanks for the laugh!

Kendra, just checked out your blog. Looking good, and those pictures just reminded me why I love Jake!

How adorable! I just found this on your blog, Kendra. Whether you like her or hate her, you can't deny they loved each other!

That other blog was cool. Nice pics of Jake looking super-cute as always, but damn, so many pictures of Jake and Kirsten. How wrong is it that I seethe with jealousy when I see them together? As though it ruins MY chances, lol. :)

Sadly, I could have made that first card.... LOL!

"Sadly, I could have made that first card.... LOL!"

Me too. Actually, I find that Jake brings me more sexual satisfaction than some boyfriends I've had who were present at the time. ;)

These are great!
Both are GREAT!

I have to say, I've loved all the secrets but the second one here I find entrancing - I think it's because I adore Darko and that scene in the film was just electric. The statement is just so in tune with the film.

I agree. That second card is haunting. The choice of picture could not be more perfect. Beautifully done.

And, uh, yeah, no comment on the first card because I'm fairly certain I've never thought anything along those lines... *wink wink*

ME TOO; AND THE SECOND CARD TOO (BUT 20 YEARS OF TRAVEL FOR ME). THESE ARE GREAT!

"Why are you wearing that stupid man suit"?

^^ Classic!
Gotta love Donnie Darko.

If I understand correctly, there's someone here in their 50s who fancies our darling. I find that extremely heart-warming and gratifying. Our age difference is a tad smaller but I was already wondering if I'm really too old for this kind of thing. Thank you, whoever you are.

britpopbaby said...

You're never too old for anything! Except maybe trying to pass yourself off as 16 to get on the bus for cheap!

Anonymous said...

So it was a Donnie Darko reference, didn't get that cause I've not seen it yet (will work on that ASAP). But it played out nicely even despite that. Both cards are excellent!

anon 6:15 - hear, hear! I, too, have been asking myself that very question (I'm the same age as our Jakey). Then just recently I found this blog and realized I'm not a lone obsesser, and that age has got nothing to do with it. Thank goodness for Jake Watch!

DKBB said...

Well, I'm not quite 50, but d@mn near it, and I am an avid fan - fantasy knows no bounds. ;)

Britpop, you totally rock! This blog is so bloody much fun!

Age definitely has nothing to do with it, 14 years his senior and I think he's the most gorgeous creature I've seen in ages!

LOVE the Donnie Darko card, awesome! I was a DD fan before I was even a Jake fan, so I get double pleasure out of that one.

Could somebody please write what the second one says? I can see only the first one =(

"you were born 30 years later than me, that's the reason i invented timetravelling"

Is that the one you can't see??

Another 'lady over 50' - 54 in my case - who thinks Jake Gyllenhaal is one beautiful specimen of a man!

Both cards are beautiful, ladies!

"peterpansyndrome...fu** youuuu"
LOL!!!!
A 35 year old here, obsessing over His Dreaminess...

I think that I must be the only guy here that’s obsessed with Jake! (Also Madonna). I just think he’s a really talented actor and love most of his movies or all the one’s I’ve seen! I have yet to find one I don’t like. I feel so along ;-(

beskyddaren, I can't believe you havan't seen Donnie Darko.. it's like being a christian never read the bible... now do your homework and came back to JakeWatch 1000x more obsessed than you were before ;)

Word! Get on it, girl....it's like THE quintessential Jake film. He's just amazingly brilliant. Well...that's not all that surprising really, but...anyway....see it!

{{{{{nothing really matters}}}}} See? No more lonely!

I was worried that my obsession with Jake was outta control. However being on this blog makes me realize I am but one of many who share the same feelings. I'm not sure if it's comforting or scary, but I'll go with comforting for now. I love Jake!! :)

Anonymous said...

The second card is soooo cool! I am older than Jake too, although in lesser need of a time machine, but hell, I'll invent anything for this guy! And I am not even good at maths!

Anonymous said...

Darko is a good film despite suffering from some plot holes the size of some large aquatic mamals. I love that Jake has such a soft spot for it and while promoting TDAT he was at a London radio show and they started to play Mad World and he gasped and said how much he loved the song. I love Jacob so very much.

Kendra,

Great blog! Nice that there are different blogs that cater to different aspects of teh experience that is The Jake.

Ya know, as jealous as I get over her, and as much as I rail against her for no other reason than the fact that I'm a selfish twit, Jaek and Kirsten made a very cute couple. There I said it.

Miffed67 said...

squallcloud, I am VERY proud of you! It takes a big person to admit they make a cute couple. I think they go together like peas and carrots, but.....doesn't stop me from being jealous that she has him and I don't!

I reckon there must be some more! Maybe they just don't speak up. Talk to us, guys!

Hi,

I'm an "well over 40" woman too - loved the second card! I didn't realize it was a "Donny Darko" reference. I'll have to see it. The first movie I had ever seen Jake in was BBM - I was absolutely stunned by his performance, as well as Heath's - what great actors, as well as gorgeous!

Anonymous said...

"Word! Get on it, girl....it's like THE quintessential Jake film. He's just amazingly brilliant."

Yes, Donnie Darko sounds like a great from what I've read about it. Me being into sci-fi and all!

Anonymous said...

Donnie Darko is amazing!
It's one of the best movies I have ever seen.
I'm absolutely interested in Richard Kelly's new movie "Southland Tales"

Ooo, me too! BIG sci-fi fan!

I'm absolutely interested in Richard Kelly's new movie "Southland Tales"

I'm eagerly awaiting this, too. I'm a big fan of Buffy and Angel, so I'm always interested in new projects from the casts, writers, producers, etc. of both.

another 54 year old here -
whoever made that second card, thank you!
(What is it about Jake and moonlight that makes me want to lose every bit of maturity I've worked so hard to get?)

Anonymous said...

what? Jake is definately the hotter one :s I don't find the old man any attractive at all (but I'm 17 so...) maybe I can see that he's quite pretty at his age tough. lol
