PARAMOUNT BRINGS IT, JAKE WATCH BRINGS IT HARDER

We here at the Jake Watch Headquarters have been receiving occasional distress signals from the jungles of Mexico, among which involved concern about this television spot for Zodiac:

We are assuming the call came from Prophecy Girl, as the sender used several expletives in reference to the promotional wars that continue between the companies (Paramount and Jake Watch) releasing Jake's next two movies back-to-back. Readers may remember back in November when Paramount released the theatrical trailer for Zodiac mere days after the first promotional poster for The Day After Tomorrow Never Dies (aka Jake Watch: The Movie) went up on Jake Watch. Hardly a coincidence. This time, however, it was Paramount who made the first move, and Jake Watch definitely felt the pressure.

Which is why, dear agents, TDATND now has not one, but three websites. Yes, THREE! And the official release date has been bumped up to February 2, a full month before Zodiac's March 2! What was left of the script after the final draft was stolen from the vault is being reworked in segments, and will go up every Friday starting this Friday, meaning the potential for not one red carpet premiere, but one every week until it's all published. Take that, you Paramount bitches.

Agents, we need your help. Show your support by going to the brand-spanking new Official MySpace Film site for TDATND and then mosey on over to the Official TDATND Soundtrack site on MySpace Music. Finally, keep checking out the Official TDATND Movie Website and marvel at how professional it all looks. Befriend these sites. Make Paramount see that even if we don't technically have a film, we can still kick their ass.

Really Cool!

And Agent 6, to respond to your question on the previous thread, no I do not see anything saying Jake Watch at the top.

Most interesting, anon...I'll look into it. Is anyone else having problems seeing the banner?

I SERIOUSLY hope Jake is aware of this and checks it out.

I really think he would absolutely love it, and be flattered.

This is amazing, exciting, innovative...I've said it before, but PG and BPB, you chicks ROCK!!!

Dang! I've listened to the soundtrack and been to both the movie site and the other site and I think this is so totally cool that Jake himself will prolly want in on the action. Will we have a sequel? I'm thinking: We Will Always Have the Day After Tomorrow. OR: Travelling The Moonlight Mile Up to Brokeback Mountain In Search of The Good Girl for Some Lovely and Amazing Sex With Jake Gyllenhaal Under An October Sky.

OT: If this sighting is correct Jake stopped by NY on his way to Morocco. This sighting was this past Saturaday. I didn'tlike what this guys wife said about Jake, said he looked like a dork and the girl he was with wasn't that cute. The nerve!

As for the Jake sighting at Spotted Pig: That woman sounds jealous and mean. He husband OTOH sounded truthful. He said the girl was cute. Wish we had more descriptive details. BTW: I totally love the fact that JW has become a tru player in the world of film. Going mogul to mogul with Paramount. Any word on whether Tom Cruise might want to play on our team??? He's strange...but rich. He'd have to understand that we want him strictly for his money. And he doesn't get any say in how to handle Jake. Only we can handle Jake...and then some.

KayDee said...

i could do some jake-handling right about now...

Anonymous said...

Ohhh! Only JW gets to handle Jake. I like that. Maybe we can attract Pedro Almodovar to direct a sequel to Tie Me Up, Tie Me Down!!!!

4:47, i wouldn't say the woman was jealous and mean. i mean, everyone's entitled to their opinion. personally, i love that jake's a dork, and if others can't appreciate that, more jake for me (haha, not really, but u know).

that said, the woman's probably just cranky from waiting all that time for a table, a state which was likely exacerbated by watching a celeb like jake waltz right to a table without waiting. i mean, i get it, that's life, and i don't blame jake but it can still feel a bit unfair.

oh and what's on friday that everyone's anticipating?
