WE LOVE US SOME MAGGIE

We've not had any Jake pictures for what? Five days? Looks like he is officially avoiding us after our big row. Let's enjoy some blooming Maggie pictures instead - I knew she'd be on our side.

I like her hair down...she looks so British to me. But I leave it to the real "Brits" to confrim that observation.

Aw, she's got that pregnant glow about her. I love Maggie.

Simon Agent 002 said...

This is the best I've seen her in sometime...I'm happy for her. And I have nothing but the best wishes for her and the entire family.

All I can say is: Awwwww

Your right prophecy girl she looks gorgeous. Although I think she would look even better with out the boots! Love the hair.

I'm looking thru my closet...to see if I have any maternity frocks for her to wear. You just go thru clothes so quickly at this point.

Maggie is just so very likable. She's one of the few actresses whom I admire and don't find annoying, at some level. Also, she has this delicate, triangular face that reminds me of a silent film star's from the 1920s. Like Lillian Gish or someone like that. It's an old-fashioned sweetheart's face that belongs on a candy box.

cina said...

She looks absolutely wonderful! Pregnancy becomes her indeed. And I agree with karengrillo - she does look British (although I'm not Britsh either, karengrillo!).

The Bearded Lady said...

She has that fair skin British rose look about her....An brings back memories of my youth...*sigh*

Simon Agent 002 said...

Can't you just see her in a Emma Peel role?.... blackturtle neck...gun.?

miffed67 said...

Awwwww, Maggie's so sweet! I love her!

Maggie looks lovely.

I think Jake needs to learn how to handle conflict in relationships. There was a comment on his (real)parents arguing on the commentary of Moonlight Mile when he had a scene where his two 'surrogate parent' characters had a fight. The director said he looked about 12 in that scene.

Jake don't be afraid- don't struggle with love. Britpopbaby will forgive you if you just send her flowers, maybe take her out to dinner, buy her a nice piece of jewelery (can I suggest a ring- nothing too expensive 100k should be fine).

Then after dinner a nice stroll along the beach. You look deeply and sincerely into her eyes and murmmer 'Forgive me baby?'.

Bpb:- 'Oh yes darling'.

Waves crash on the shore, the moon emerges from behind a cloud and Jakewatch tiptoes quietly away while the reconciliation is consumated...

Kendra said...

I wish Jake could start to grow up emulating his sister behaviour and valoring some of the sacrifice /responsibility inherent to relationships in his future. I mean, not all is about flirting in basketball matches or staring at cleavages.
Hi, britpopbaby, check your email.
Kendra.

britpopbaby said...

^You guys would so not tiptoe away but thats a beautiful image. Prehaps not sex in the sand tho cos it goes places.

I redesigned the banner a little bit. I thought I better take the 007 gun off because, as my Dad pointed out, it's probably copyrighted by MGM who have a lot more money than me.

The Bearded Lady said...

I've found this dress! Do you think it would be suitable? It's basic black so it should go with just about anything.

britpopbaby said...

Suitable for Maggie or suitable for you?

I've replied to your email Kendra!

Nothing Really Matters said...

Thought you did something Britpop! Don’t mean to diss your banner or anything did you know you have a couple of marks on it just to the left of Jakes name? I guess it’s cus you are playing about again! Like the new bit at the top!

Simon Agent 002 said...

Perhaps you can use a gun pic and leave out the 007 logo?

Nothing Really Matters said...

The Bearded Lady find something with a little more colour.

The Bearded Lady said...

Thats what we wore in 1910...you really need to see it on ...beautiful black bead work. I was the talk of the town in that dress!..I got many a second glance when I was in it!

maggied said...

Who said anything about s-x?
This is a classic Hollywood movie circa 1952. I was talking about a chaste kiss on the forehead before you both went home to your own beds!We were not tiptoing away because of anything untoward. We were just respecting you and Jake's privacy as we always...er, oh never mind.

Go and wash your mind out with soap and water Bpb.Take your point about the sand tho'- probably impossible to tiptoe on sand.

On the gun issue my keen legal mind (yes it's true- luckily I have Jake Watch to keep me sane- sort of)reckons that Walther, the maker of the gun (see my previous post on this yesterday) probably has all rights including image etc.

However as I know as much about intellectual propery rights as I do about nuclear physics (just to clarify that is zip) I would probably trust your Dad's advice before mine.

Please note that the foregoing was not intended as legal advice upon which thefirstparty, 'Britpopbaby' may rely on in any court proceedings to follow hereon and that the second party 'Maggied' accepts no liability whatsoever for any of her ramblings in this or any other jusisdiction...blah, blah, blah.....snore.

Nearest I've got to working all day.

britpopbaby said...

Don’t mean to diss your banner or anything did you know you have a couple of marks on it just to the left of Jakes name?

I thought that was dirt on my computer screen!

And thanks for the legal advice maggied - I won't mention you in court. My Dad said they couldn't copyright '007' but they probably own the overall logo.

Nothing Really Matters said...

I thought the same at first but after a scrubbed and nothing came off!

cina said...

Prehaps not sex in the sand tho cos it goes places.

...And Jake knows all about sand going places already... LOL!

Jarhead. Say no more. ;-)

Anonymous said...

A generic gun?...I'm not familiar with British law ...but I'd think they would have to contact you first, asking you to stop before they took a court action. Plus you are not doing it for profit. I can't think you are a Big Fish in the eyes of any court.

The Bearded Lady said...

Miss Galore, Is that an actual tan you have or rather a spray on one? it's devine which ever it is.

maggied said...

Hey Bpb is your dad a lawyer too? (if that's not too personal a question). Does he have any exciting clients with the initials JG? If so can I apply for a job?

I take issue with the idea that Jake Watch is not a big fish it is a killer whale (OK so a whale is a mammal- see that's why I'm not a big shot commercial lawyer) in the oceans of the web. I am certain that if you asked any high court judge 'M'Lud you will of course be familiar with Jake Watch' his Lordship would confirm that it is indeed the repository of all wisdom on the topic of JG and as such essential reading for members of the bench.
I rest my case.

Anonymous said...

Yes Big fish in terms of web sites! In terms of law breakers small...lol

thesweetestone said...

Hy people, im back, how you like me as a bondgirl? BPB, thanx alot for the patience to explane all this avatar stuff, now it seems so easy and i feel dumb, but hey, Ive learned sth!:-) Maggie looks great, do you think the baby will be a boy or a girl? Lets pick names!

Nothing Really Matters said...

Oh Bearded Lady Pussy has such Natural beauty, that’s why I have a womanly glow. I suggest using "Johnson’s Holiday Skin Body Lotion" it gradually builds a beautiful, light tan. Hope that is of some help!

maggied said...

Come to think of it with Jake Watch's record so far of potential copyright infringement proceedings if anyone from the Bond franchise happened to find out about her misdemeanour Bpb would probably end up as a screenwriter or something on the next movie.

thesweetestone said...

Imagine- new bond movie, written by bpb, starring jake! of course, rest of us would probablly get some role in the movie (I wanna be the bad bond chick:-)

The Bearded Lady said...

I'm persuing beauty with a vengence!...It's my personal pet project. So thank you dear for the lotion tip. Ta Ta ...

Diana Rigg said...

Well there would need to be many auditions..... :) starting with the love scenes to find some chemistry.

br33n said...

Maggie is glowing! Not really feeling those boots though.

If we all get to star in Britpop's Jake Bond movie, I want to be Jake's trousers. Or his gun (his actual gun, not the other type of "gun")

wtbgirl said...

i love Maggie when she has her hair down and loose, and not in one of those braid/Princess Leia hair concotions she seems to favor.

kokodee said...

Those boots must be a fave; in all her recent pics she's either wearing them or flip-flops.

She looks really radiant and very pregnant: when's gyllengaard jnr due?

maggied said...

Strapline of the new JB movie?

'007-
killing,kissing,kerbs and cupcakes'

As Jake Watch's newly (self) appointed attorney -unless Bpb's Dad holds that position already- in which case I will gladly be his assistant- I would advise Bpb to protect the intellectual property rights of the site
immediately 'cause at this rate we might end up suing the Bond producers for stealing all our material when they come here to get some fresh ideas

Bruinsmama said...

IT looks to me like Mags is carrying a boy.
shall e place bets?
when is she due, Oct??

kokodee said...

A boy?? why what ever gave you that idea?
The warm copper tones of her outfit radiate an earthy aura, which can only mean its a girl!

britpopbaby said...

Woohoo! I gots me a lawyer! You're gonna have to get yourself a lawyer-y avator.

And I've just thought of a fun new game - inspired by bruinsmama. A baby Maggie sweepstakes. I'll think up of a load of names and you guys pick one and then whoever is closer can win a Jake Watch tshirt or some similar thing. Too far or sound fun?

miffed67 said...

I'm throwing my chips in for a boy, too. The way she's carrying, reminds me of my son....I'm all for the baby naming contest.

I lurve the boots, y'all! So retro!

maggied said...

Britpopbaby thanks for the appointment I am honoured and humbled and do hereby solemly promise to protect and defend Jake Watch with my last breath.

I would love an avatar but I can't work it out. I tried with the imageshack thing but it was no use. (I promise I'm a better lawyer than I am a blogger).Maybe you could choose one - but not -repeat not- Ally McBean - sorry if I offend any fans. Actually Veronica Davenport of Hill Street Blues was my role model as a youn(ger) woman.

Hey and I get to call myself an 'attorney' 'cause this is play not real. Unless of course we get sued by the Bond- or any other - people then I'll show them real!

*Goes off to dig out gown from days as a criminal lawyer and remove dust, coffee stains etc.*

thesweetestone said...

sounds like fun, i wanna play. Btw, i have a hint its gonna be a girl

britpopbaby said...

Cool. I'll set up our Baby Name sweepstakes. I need Anneka and her baby name book (don't ask).

And I'll hunt out a pic for maggied - Veronica Davenport you say? Email me and I'll help you!

britpopbaby said...

Wait! It's Joyce Davenport played by Veronica Hamel...

I was able to find an avatar by doing an image search ....they have to be under(if I remember correctly) 50 or 60 kbs in size. Then in the photograph line type in the URL =(http:/*******)address of the image you have picked. Good Luck

The Bearded Lady said...

Oh Dear! I've just applied some of that "Johnson's Holiday Skin Body lotion" I have a terrible problem now!...Where I had my waxing done it's burning like flames!

The Bearded Lady said...

Oh Oh dear!! (jumping around) oh.... this is not a holiday....more like hospital stay....ahhhh!

Agnes said...

Okay I think it's gonna be a girl too.

phoebe said...

Love Maggie! She looks beautiful.

Ooo, I wanna play too! Fab idea, BPB!

Okay, this is OT, but I'm in for a real Jake-treat tonight. I'm finally gonna see Jarhead. Yay! I get all tingly and excited just looking at the DVD cover and Jake's gorgeous shirt-less back. Oh my.

Anonymous said...

This is also OT: Okay, when is Blogger going to get a decent server that's not held toegther by duct tape & rubber bands and powered by a gerbil running on a wheel within his age? You'd think they'd be able to get higher reliability of service in Bangalore these days. Half the time, when I visit this site, I can't access it. So frustrating!

Simon Agent 002 said...

The gerbil quit hense the troubles.

I'm finally gonna see Jarhead.

Ooo, I'm jealous....first time seeing Jarhead! I love that movie.

The gerbil quit hense the troubles.

Ahhhh, all ist klar.

jla said...

Awwww... Maggie looks adorabe!! I am so down with the baby name sweepstakes idea!!

@phoebe I'm finally gonna see Jarhead

You will not be dissapointed!! Lots of Jakey goodness and supplementary eye candy!)(saarsy & j.foxxy) FYI: Due to the sheer magnitude of sex-ay that Jake exudes throughout this movie you will be compelled to employ the pause and rewind features on your remote so keep it handy!!Enjoy!!

Dani said...

I just watched the JARHEAD dvd the other day for the 6th time! Some critics didn't like it. But who cares what they think. Not only does Jake do a fantastic job in a role very different from his past films, it was genius on his part to take it on right after BBM to show just how diverse he can be. Two back to back powerhouse performances. Then there's the Body, Absolutely amazing. All his hard work paid off. He is a work of art. Truth be told, I'll take his body anyway he wants to strut it. He is sheer perfection!!

miffed67 said...

Thank the GODS for DVD!

Agreed, dani! Jake was wonderful in Jarhead. I'm still flabbergasted that it wasn't more well-received than it was. And The Body. Worthy of worship!

silver said...

ah... Jarhead... Welcome to the SUCK!!!

And I want gyllengaard jnr to be a boy. NOT because I'm anti-feminist or anything, there have been too many celebrity baby girls... So I want it to be a boy.

I'm all in for the game!

squallcloud said...

Awww Mags looks very pretty if confused in that pic lol. Love that Gyllenclan!

phoebe said...

Okay, so like I told you guys I saw Jarhead last night, and it was awesome!! Really, really good. It was intense and thought-provoking, the actors did a great job, and it was beautiful, in a weird way. Loved the cinematography.

So jla, you were right, I wasn't disappointed, FAR from it!! And boy, did the pause and rewind features come in handy or what?! Oh my freakin' god. Jakey looked soo hot and gorgeous I almost died. He IS pure perfection. And an extremely talented actor. Great job.

And now I finally know what all this talk about "welcome to the suck" and "shut the fuck up and repeat after me" (oh my..) is all about! Ooo-rah!

beskyddaren said...

That's good news Phoebe! I got all worried when a fellow Gyllenhaalic (Diana!) didn't like Jarhead, like, at all! The war, corpses etc. were just too much for her. The dvd came out 2 days ago and got praising reviews here in Finland.

phoebe said...

@ beskyddaren: What? Not at all?! That's too bad! I'm not much of a war flick fan (although there are some great ones, like Apocolypse Now), but I really liked this one. Since it's more focused on the psychological factors and not so much on the action. And of course the presence of His Sexiness.

beskyddaren said...

Phoebe, I know, I'm amazed at her reaction! I'm 99% sure I'm going to like it myself, a review called Jarhead Apocalypse Now of the new millenium. The millenium's still young but anyways... ; )

jla said...

Phoebe said: So jla, you were right, I wasn't disappointed, FAR from it!!

Good...I am so glad you liked it!! Like beskyddaren there were some people who didn't care for Jarhead at all. I don't understand that either! I mean aside from the obvious( good looking cast with great bodies) The story was achingly compelling and characters were written and developed really well! And like you said the cinematography was breathtakingly gorgeous!! I mean the desert became a character in and of it self! And the scene when they were blowing up the oil rigs and the sky was raining black ...that was so symbolic! Like God crying dark tears in reaction to mankind trying to resolve conflict through death and destruction!! I think the people who didn't care for it just took the film at face value, they didn't take time to interpret the pychological implications of war and how deeply that can affect a person!

phoebe said...

oh so you haven't seen it yet, beskyddaren? I thought you had! Well, you're in for a treat! I'm sure you'll like it! And I can see why Jarhead was called the new Apocalypse, there is a resemblance.

phoebe said...

You're so right, jla! Great symbolism in that oil scene. And further, it was so beautiful. I love how the film at several times depicted horrible and gruesome things, but did it in a visually breathtaking way. The contrast was just so intense. Brilliant.

"I think the people who didn't care for it just took the film at face value, they didn't take time to interpret the pychological implications of war and how deeply that can affect a person!"

Totally agree. If you go into it thinking (and hoping) that it's a typical war film, you'll be oh so disappointed. There's so much more to it.

(Btw, the retard that I am when it comes to computers, I can't get the html tags for italics etc to work. What's the trick?)

beskyddaren said...

Like beskyddaren there were some people who didn't care for Jarhead at all

No no, It's my friend who doesn't like it! Phoebe, yes I haven't seen it yet. I'll get it tomorrow, can't wait to see it now. Especially after reading something like this:
Like God crying dark tears in reaction to mankind trying to resolve conflict through death and destruction!!

Beautiful!!!
